Job Description

We are currently seeking Mig Welders for a temp to hire position with our client’s team of experienced professionals located in Easley, SC.
The primary role of this position is weld containers for a manufacturing facility. .

Primary Responsibilities

• Attention to Detail: you will be required to make clean lines and cuts when welding. Paying attention to the job at hand is necessary.
• Dexterity: you will be working with your hands, and need to be steady during the welding process.
• Ability to read blueprints and understanding how the final product should look.
• Ability to see flaws in welds or structural imperfections in the metal.
• Ensures material is welded correctly by studying blueprints, visualizing and planning sequence of welding. Performs selected method and procedure of welding. Must be able to follow the selected method and procedure as specified by the customer, prints, or process sheets.
• Prepares material to be welded by performing the following duties: grouping together material, checking sizes to print, verifying tolerances, providing proper fit and functions, aligning material per part print.
• Produces quality materials by accurately welding product.
• May be asked to finish the materials by grinding, sanding or chipping rough or sharp edges, weld splatter, surplus weld or scale to specifications.
• Inspects the finished product to ensure that all welds conform to print specifications.
• Maintains safe workplace by cleaning work area, machines, tools and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift repeatedly as needed over a 10-12 hour period.
• Ability to grip, grasp and twist both hands and wrists regularly.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously for 10-12 hours.
• Ability to sit, stands, walks, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, squat, push, pull, and reach above shoulder level throughout working hours.

• Basic math skills
Education and Experience
• HSD or GED is not required
• Ability to pass a weld test.
