Job Description

Phillips Staffing is looking for experienced 3rd Shift Team Leaders:

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:


•Reports to Department Supervisor
•Scope includes the value stream in Assembly
•Key member of the ‘help chain’ for Bekido and Chokko assignments.
•Help drive improvements to reach goals set for the assigned value stream.
•Assist supervision on quality and delivery issues.
•Assist and lead in problem solving efforts on assigned shift.
•Review / update status of bottleneck operations daily.
•Participate and lead Kaizen event activities on assigned shift.
•Perform layered audits and report status on key metrics for value stream.
•Daily update of audit rejects, finished goods status and missed shipments.
•Protect output at bottleneck operations by filling in for operator as needed.
•Complete special projects as assigned by supervisor or VSM.
•Assist in establishing operational methods and work standards.
•Assist in the design and improvement of manufacturing/production systems.
•Support the creation of a floor suggestion system.
•This is not all inclusive and can change as business conditions change.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Preferred candidates will have demonstrated leadership and manufacturing experience in a variety of roles.
• Must have good mechanical skills/aptitude.
• Must be proficient with computer especially Microsoft Excel and able to learn other required systems quickly. (CAD skills are a plus)
• Support or lead kaizen events as directed by Supervisor or VSM.
• Work with teams and teach/train others.
• Must be goal oriented and a self starter.
• Able to perform variety of physical tasks related to production/projects.
• Working knowledge of bearing process is a plus

Education And Experience

•High School Diploma, GED or SC Work Keys will be considered.
•2 year degree preferred or 6 – 8 years experience in manufacturing operations.
