We are currently seeking Quality Technician for Direct Hire position with our client’s team of experienced professionals located in Anderson, SC.
The primary role of this position is to provide a variety of routine support services in a manufacturing facility that is the leading provider of electrical switchgear and power distribution systems. Employees hired at this location may be placed in a wide range of positions depending on your experience level.
The ideal candidate should have a steady work history that shows commitment, quality, and reliability to their work. You will report promptly to your team leader for your daily duties and will work with your team to ensure that the production goals are reached. You must have the ability to work to a high standard of safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Audit daily work activities within the organization to identify any NCRs
• Use strong attention to detail to ensure quality processes are used in a bespoke manufacturing environment.
• Document all NCRs and engage area personnel to provide input to reports.
• Ensure NCRs are closed out in a timely manner
• Engage in any improvements which seek to drive the COPQ down.
• Assist development of a fully documentation SOS for all activities within the organization.
• Deliver training for any new quality improvement
• Measures number of NCRs identified and close out in a timely manner, cost of poor quality, and number of customer complaints
• Controls feedback from first and second party MS audits.
Qualifications and Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years' experience working in an advanced technical QA position in a manufacturing environment
• 3-5 years' experience quality related document control
• 3-5 years' experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, and/or tape measures) to do in-depth quality checks.
• Must be willing to learn the entire process of the production line where you are assigned
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Quality related certifications and training highly preferred (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
Physical/ADA Requirements
• Ability to lift 35-50 lbs in the course of daily duties
• Ability to plan and organize your responsibilities according to needs of the company
• Ability to make decision and self-pace your work. Strong prioritization skills.
• Ability to interact with multiple people at different levels to include but not limited to upper management, production, engineering and clients to creatively resolve quality issues
• Ability to work as a member of a team in a team-oriented environment

Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 /hour
