Packing 1st Shift

Roles and Responsibilities:
• The Packaging Operator will report to the Packaging Supervisor.
• The Operator will act upon specific written and/ or verbal instructions furnished by the Supervisor to set-up plant equipment correctly for operation and effectively use time to meet company goals.
• Operate pharmaceutical-processing/packaging equipment in conformance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), clean rooms and equipment according to standard procedures and perform varied preventive maintenance duties.
• Operate miscellaneous related equipment and, report defects.
• Weigh, label packages, and prepare shipping request forms.
• In addition, incumbent will organize work to achieve daily goals with no errors or deficiencies and follow and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Precautions.
• Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives
• Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.

Minimum Requirements Previous knowledge and understanding of material safety data sheets in a GMP of Pharmaceutical environment a plus. In order to perform this job successfully, individual is regularly required to stand, frequently required to use hands and arms to lift and reach and must be able to lift and move packages and material up to 50 lbs. Note: Work schedule may be changed and/or overtime mandatory as deemed necessary by Management.
Education and Experience: Position requires a high school diploma or GED and a strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude to handle multiple tasks.
