Job Description

Summary:

Comply with all site and job specific safe working expectations. Actively participate in safety programs. Load outgoing tankers, isotainers, and box trucks with finished products. Unload raw materials from bulk and box trailer shipments. Handle labels and paperwork associated with shipments and receipts. Participate in warehouse and bulk inventory management processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Follow all plant safety requirements and participate in activities to continuously improve safety performance. Lead/participate in department and site safety initiatives including attending and leading safety meetings as assigned.
2. Inform incoming drivers of safety rules and supply safety equipment.
3. For bulk shipments, take samples, attach hoses, filters and pump material to meet customer orders.
4. Verify that incoming raw material meets quality specs per COA.
5. Troubleshoot with the lab and purchasing for quality issues.
6. Provide retain samples to QC lab.
7. Participate in cycle counting and inventory processes.
8. Inspect and maintain safety equipment.
9. In plant operation of yard dog to stage/weigh tankers.
10. Check forklifts and golf carts to ensure proper working order.
11. Load or unload trailers of packaged goods.
12. Make identification labels and label incoming raw materials.
13. Collect samples for customers and label for shipping.
14. Store raw materials in proper area, update warehouse location records, as needed, for storing finished goods.
15. Prepare product for shipping as customer requests stretch wrap, metal bands, method labeling, etc.
16. Maintain housekeeping of work area.
17. Perform any other duty as requested by Team Manager.
18. Stay current on safety and job training expectations.
