TUBE LINE OPERATOR

JOB TITLE: Tube Line Worker
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
DEPARTMENT: Machining
REPORTS TO: Machining Supervisor
SCHEDULE: Day Shift: Mon – Fri, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Evening Shift: Mon – Thu, 10:30 pm – 7:00 am
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for operating a variety bending, stamping, drilling, and welding machines as well as test fixtures and work instructions to fabricate and test steel tube products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follow production schedule presented by management.

2. Follow instructions, processes and procedures.

3. Seek assistance for any process problem.

4. Produce parts to performance standards.

5. Inspect parts to insure conformance with customer requirements.

6. Facilitate work-order paper flow in accordance with ISO quality standards.

7. Safely operate a jib crane to handle materials.

8. Keep work area clean and presentable.

9. Perform all other duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.

2. Ability to work with and get along with a team of coworkers.

3. Ability to accurately use measurement gages and understand their relationship to process requirements.

4. Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.

5. Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.

6. Safety conscious behavior.

7. Excellent attendance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to use hands to pickup, and handle parts.

2. Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 10 lbs frequently.

3. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach outward frequently.

4. Stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.

5. Ability to work in a 55 – 88 degree Fahrenheit work environment.

6. Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective clothing.
