Position Summary: The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating a forklift to: locate, relocate, stack and count product. The driver is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.

Description of Duties:

• While he is receiving and putting away he will unload inbound shipments safely. Also, move product to staging locations. The driver will stack and store the Product in the appropriate areas.
• The driver will insure the inbound and outbound shipments with accuracy and free of damage. Reporting quality variances.
• Responsible for pulling product and insuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded on the pallet and in its location.
• Loading efficiently and moving product in and out of trucks as indicated by work order. Shrink warp all pallets as needed.
• Move product by order request form or as needed by material handler for transfers between plants or departments.
• Responsibility to insure accuracy of product, supplies are correctly taken into production areas by item number, quantity, pounds, etc.
• Forklift drivers must record materials taken into production when necessary.
• Is responsible for using a forklift for loading, stacking and staging product and materials a clamp truck and other power equipment. Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
• The forklift driver has a responsibility to assist in physical inventories. Needs to keep appropriate records. Reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Insure proper stock rotation.
• Responsibility for Safety and Sanitation. Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assisting in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety, OSHA and SQF Standards.
• Perform or assist in building, grounds and equipment maintenance as required.
• Responsible for monitoring food safety.
• All other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Forklift Driver.
• Computer Skills, math and written skills required.
• Able to lift 30-40 pounds of raw material bags.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task on any type of projects.
• Meet production deadlines.

Preferred Skills and experience: The ability to produce McClancy Seasonings with high Standards and Quality.
