Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk

Department: Office/Accounting

Job Summary:
Performs any combination of the following: calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Compiles and sorts documents such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions. Verifies and posts details of business transactions such as funds received, and totals accounts using calculator or computer. Computes and records charges. Processes orders, invoices, checks, account statements, reports and other records. Observes safety and hazardous material precautions established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Proficiency in Windows-Based computer software required specifically in spreadsheet software (Excel). Must be proficient with 10-key calculator and must be able to type at least 35 wpm. Working knowledge of general office equipment and duties required. Good customer service skills and attention to detail required. Two or four year college degree preferred or equivalent years of experience.

Specific Duties:
1) Accounts Receivable:
a. Enter new prices, price changes and customer information into the customer database (EPICS).
b. Enter customer purchase order information into EPICS and emails/prints order acknowledgements.
c. Checks manifests, work orders and bills of lading from the shipping office for accuracy prior to billing the customer.
d. Enters billing information into EPICS and prints/emails invoices for billing.
e. Posts invoices and receipts to Sage AccPac program.
f. Generate and print various Excel reports.
g. Computes commission amounts and posts to appropriate reports.
h. Miscellaneous sales reports .
i. Monthly Average Report

2) Maintain Customer Pricing
a. Update and enter new pricing from quotes in AMEX.

3) Answer Company Phones
a. Take and relay messages, transfer calls and page personnel as needed utilizing the Company telephone lines in a professional, courteous manner.
